    The vestibule and stairs leading to the upper duplex were restored to the original. Local vendors and craftspeople supplied the newel post, treads, spindles, ballisters, and moldings.

    The Parlor floor entrance was moved to its original position and fitted with a refurbished salvage door. The original wide plnk floor and a new hanging lamp complete the new old picture.

The upper duplex apartment of this four story brownstone was renovated to create an open plan three bedroom apartment with plenty of light, energy-saving fixtures, a home office, dining area and kitchen.

While we were at it, we rebuilt the vestibule and main staircase, adding an under-stairs storage closet and salvaged entrance door.
